The Best of Birmingham

It's thanks to Birmingham that we have Cadbury, and without Cadbury there would have never been the Creme Egg pizza – the ultimate pizza and chocolate combo that we launched with Crust Bros.

But there's more to Birmingham than just chocolate. The home of Spaghetti Junction (even its biggest interchange is nicknamed after food) is full of amazing independent restaurants, that you can find on Deliveroo.

Chung Ying

Chung Ying is one of the longest running Chinese and Cantonese restaurants in Birmingham, which has been serving up delicate dim sum for more than 30 years. Steamed or fried, these moreish little mouthfuls come in a huge variety of meaty and veggie options. And there's even exclusive Deliveroo specials to test your chopstick skills on.

For a beast of a burrito, Bodega serves up the South American staples filled with buttery-soft beef brisket to their hearty Plantain & Lentil combo. The team at this Mexican cantina have been inspired by their travels, so expect an authentic South American experience that's a fair few Pesos cheaper than going there.

Pushkar's award-winning dishes are packed with complex Punjabi and north Indian flavours. Their take on the one pot wonder that is the Biryani is so popular that they even launched their own festival to celebrate the revered rice dish.

The Plough

You won't find run-of-the-mill pub grub at this Harborne hotspot. Instead The Plough does Cubanos sandwiches and a mammoth pizza menu, with creative toppings including spicy 'Nduja pork and candied bacon with pine nuts and fig.

Sabai Sabai

Sabai Sabai has bagged its fair share of awards, including the Best Oriental Establishment at Food Awards England 2016. Founded by a husband and wife duo, their huge variety of vibrant Thai dishes will suit both spice-fiends that love a fiery Tom Yam, to mellow foodies more partial to a creamy Yellow Curry.

Asha's – another multi award-winner on Birmingham's foodie circuit – does high-end Indian dining. After starting out in Dubai, Asha's brought its north west Indian cuisine to Birmingham, with firm favourites like Butter Chicken and fragrant Chicken Jhalfrezi.

24 Carat Bistro

This cosy family-run Caribbean is tucked away in Hockley's Jewelry Quarter. It may be small but it's got a big following, with the TripAdvisors of Birmingham ranking 24 Carat Bistro as one of the best in the city, thanks to its home-cooked dishes including sweet and spicy Jerk Chicken and rich Curry Goat.

Cafe Soya

For a Meat Free Monday (or any day of the week for that matter), Cafe Soya's got it covered. Their fresh vegetarian and vegan Vietnamese-style dishes, like their Mock Crispy Aromatic Duck and Pancakes, are enough to convert any carnivore.
