If your Instagram feed doesn't have at least one appearance from a rainbow hued dessert, then what do you even use it for? Rainbow food is everywhere right now, so to celebrate all things bright and brilliant, plus the upcoming Pride parade on 8th July, here's some of our favourite rainbow dishes on Deliveroo.
Rainbow Cake – Hummingbird Bakery
This technicolour dream cake from Hummingbird Bakery is layers of light rainbow vanilla sponge, topped with whipped frosting and sprinkles – just look at all those sprinkles! Perfect for a Pride party, this fun and fabulous cake is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
Rainbow Cupcakes – Primrose Bakery
Primrose Bakery's Rainbow Cupcakes are the cutest. Peaks of vanilla buttercream, perched on top of marbled rainbow sponge, with a scattering of funfetti; surely this is what unicorns eat for breakfast.
Macarons – Mademoiselle Macaron
Eat your greens, pinks, purples, blues, yellows, reds and oranges. You can build your own rainbow from Mademoiselle Macaron, with a box of a dainty treats flavoured with everything from pistachio to rose, and Hendricks Gin to the Irn Bru infused Scottish Whammy!
Shakes – ShakeTastic
For a subtle shout out to the rainbow trend, ShakeTastic blends your favourite multi-coloured candy and sweets into thick, creamy milkshakes. For a scattering of mini rainbows on your milkshake go for the American Dream – Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Fluff and whipped cream, topped with Lucky Charms cereal. Or to drink the rainbow, have a slurp of the Skittles® shakes.
Sprinkles Doughnut – Doughnotts
Shouldn't everything be served with sprinkles? These rainbow strands are an instant smile-inducer, and the best way to make a good day better. And when they're the star of the show on one of Doughnotts' Sprinkles creations, that good day just became brilliant.
Rainbow Rolls – Happy Maki
Who needs that pot of gold at the bottom when you can get a rainbow rolled in 100% vegan-friendly sushi? Happy Maki's Rainbow Rolls get their pop of colour from grated beet, carrot, avocado, cucumber and rosy red pepper, all wrapped in spiced coconut rice.
Rainbow Veg Noodle Salad – Vital Ingredient
Not all rainbows come in cake form. For a bright and sunny salad, check out Vital Ingredient's Rainbow Veg Noodle Salad. This veggie and vegan-friendly salad is dairy-free but rich in colour, and guaranteed to give your lunch a bit of a boost.
Deliveroo is the official catering partner of Pride this year (just saying). So, to fly the flag with us, look out for more ravishing rainbow dishes that've been created especially for this year's festival.
Don't forget to stop by the MEATliquor and Bubbledogs trucks at the Pride parade in Trafalgar Square on 8th July. See you there!
