We know that our riders value the flexibility to work around the other things that matter to them in their lives. Education is one of these things – and, currently, over half our riders are studying.
We want to continue supporting these riders with the option to work flexibly – but we also want to support those who want to study but don't have access to educational opportunities at the moment.
That's why we're launching a new scheme giving Deliveroo riders across the globe access to hundreds of online courses, free of charge.
Delivered in conjunction with OpenClassrooms, a leading educational and vocational training provider, riders will get access to a wide range of online courses – including Data, Design, IT and Marketing – to help their personal and professional development.
We're also launching a scholarship scheme, providing funding for online Bachelor's-level degree programmes from leading universities. Riders from the UK, Ireland, France, the Netherlands and Australia can apply to win one of the 32 scholarships, worth €3,600 each and including an hour's mentorship each week with an expert in their chosen field of study.
Our riders are at the heart of all we do, and we want to keep providing more support for them. This is just one way in which we can make that happen, and which offers riders the flexibility to fit study – as well as work – around their lives.
