Sometimes you're hungry, but you want to skip the main course altogether. Well, you're not five years old, and your mother isn't here to tell you not to – so go right ahead! We've now evolved into such a modern society that you can order dessert takeaway from the comfort of your home in Brighton. Seriously, bless 2017!
Of course, you could bake your own sweet treats, but what about when you just want all the hard work for you? Don't worry, there are plenty of options out there. We've rounded up some of our favourite desserts around for when you've got a real sweet tooth.
So, what will it be?
1. Wafflemeister: Churros
The word churro originates from a Spanish phrase meaning "rough", which is odd, because the churros from Wafflemeister are honestly anything but. Indulge yourself as you devour your way through American waffle with cinnamon, sugar and dark chocolate chip, served up with a healthy (unless you're a doctor) serving of vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. It ticks all the boxes for some of the most typical cravings, so if you're on the fence about what you fancy, this is a clear choice!
2. Dum Dum Donutterie: The Zebra
You'd have to be a dum dum not to try the Dum Dum Donutterie… yeah, we went there. This special treat has layers upon layers of pastry, buttercream and even ganache. So, why is it called The Zebra? You've got layers of ordinary croissant dough woven into chocolate croissant dough, and the visual effects are pretty self-explanatory. It looks great, tastes even better.
3. Lovefit Cafe: Banana and Cinnamon Cake
Fruit doesn't have to be healthy, not in the slightest. However, you can feel a little less naughty about ordering this than other kinds of cakes (it still has some of your five a day in it – technically – after all)! LoveFit uses fresh bananas as part of this creation, and when baked in accompanying the hints of cinnamon, they're on to an absolute winner.
4. CrepeAffaire: Bananalicious
Banana fans, you've got a choice now. CrepeAffaire is another place that loves to put bananarific creations on its menu. This particular creation is a bit of a gem, merging the fruit with Nutella and butterscotch. It's sugary without being sickly, and it's worth every single one of the calories it contains.
