As one of the most popular cuisines in the country, Indian food will always remain at the top of the chart when it comes to takeaways in the UK. And for the most authentic, awesome Indian-inspired eats, it doesn't get better than classic street food. So if you're a huge fan of spicy foods and want to know some of the best places around for authentic, Indian street fare, look no further…
1. Tandoori Subzi, Tamarind Kitchen
The dishes you'll find served at Tamarind Kitchen are practically bursting with all the South Asian herbs and spices that make street food from this area so special. We recommend their tasty Tandoori Subzi – delicate paneer paired with mushrooms and broccoli and grilled with hot red chillies and cumin. And the guys behind the magic here are also responsible for the award-winning sister-restaurant Tamari, so you know they're the real deal.

2. Paneer and Mushroom Tikka, Bundobust
Feeling disenchanted with meagre vegetarian options you find? Don't worry, Bundobust specialises in whipping up some awesome vegetarian curries. While their Paneer and Mushroom Tikka has proved to be one of the most popular dishes on the menu, it's their crispy bhajis seasoned with fragrant rose and served in a rich tomato sauce that we can't get enough of. And don't even get us started on their Bundo Chaat, one forkful and you'll be hooked.

They usually serve up their goodies stacked in Mumbai-style tiffin lunch boxes, and although you won't get them when you order in, the food is so good we don't think you'll mind. While vegetarians will love their protein-packed Tarka Dahl made from yellow and black lentils, their Chicken Achari is one of their newer dishes this year, with a blend of lime, pickle and masala spices.

4. Chili Chicken wrap, Tifinbox
Monster curry wraps for the brave 💪 Team member @onehungryasian discovers an exciting alternative to your Friday night curry. Today's #NEWLondonCheapEat: PARATHA WRAP WITH CURRIES from TIFINBOX 🇮🇳 in #ALDGATE #E1 - UP TO £6.99 Wraps for lunch are not uncommon. But how often do you see the standard tortilla replaced with a beautiful, buttery, flaky paratha, and stuffed silly with curry and salad? 🙌 These wraps aren't for the faint-hearted; even the small sizes are pretty monstrous. Not forgetting the scavenged trail of flakes that fall from the paratha as you tear into your wrap 👅 If you'd prefer an alternative to paratha, you can choose a roti, tortilla or naan bread. And if it's not a carb day, a salad bowl. Then select your curry, or a mix of two if you're feeling adventurous. For the really big appetites, you can add masala fries and a drink for an extra £1.69. My top flavour choices are the Chicken 65 and Lamb Chilli, and wraps range from £4.59 for the smallest, to £6.99 for a large with two curries 💥 Across the menu, the fillings are rich in flavour and spicing, and generous in their helpings of tasty meat. The queues are long but quick, testament to the quality of the food. And they also offer a selection of rice dishes with curry and biryanis. Great Indian food, both to eat in and take out. It's well worth checking out 👏 Check 💻 londoncheapeats.com for the full write-up, and 190＋ other cheap eats in London for £8 or less 😁 #LondonCheapEats #LCEOnTheGo #LCERestaurantDish
If you're stuck in the office in need of a fiery treat, Tifinbox is there to answer your prayers and cure your cravings. For lunch, we'd recommend one of their curry wraps, packing in all of the heat of traditional Indian dishes, from chicken tikka to minced lamb kebabs, into one handy burrito-style wrap. We love the Chili Chicken number, a Indo-Chinese dish of marinated chicken cooked up with garlic, ginger, chillies, soy sauce, peppers and onions, bundled up with salad in a soft wrap.
